EAMSC Indonesia 2015 Applications now open!

CALL FOR APPLICANTS:
28th EAST ASIAN MEDICAL STUDENTS’ CONFERENCE(EAMSC) INDONESIA 2015!

The Asian Medical Students’ Association(AMSA) India invites all Indian medical students to apply to the 28th East Asian Medical Students’ Conference.
"Sexually Transmitted Infections - Halt the Diseases, Help the People''

Place: Jakarta, Indonesia
Date: January 10th- 15th
Theme: Sexually Transmitted Infections
Organizer: AMSA Indonesia

Comprised of academic, cultural and social programmes, AMSC provides an opportunity for medical students to meet and discuss about their research and current medical and health issues in medicine. More importantly it encourages them to think out of their textbooks, to be proactive and speak out and help them grow and become balanced doctors.

About the theme, Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs) is one of the world’s health problems. Both of governmental and non-governmental actions have been taken to decrease the morbidity and transmission of STIs and it shows no significant changes, particularly in its transmission. Seeing the fact, STIs is not only Indonesia’s burden but it is a global burden. Therefore, we believe the research and discussion about STIs can be suitable and applicable for all of AMSA International’s chapters.

The Republic of Indonesia is the largest archipelago in the world comprising 17,504 large and small tropical islands fringed with white sandy beaches, many still uninhabited and a number even still unnamed. Indonesia fascinates with its rich diversity of ancient temples, music, ranging from the traditional to modern pop, dances, rituals and ways of life, changing from island to island, from region to region. Yet everywhere the visitor feels welcomed with that warm, gracious innate friendliness of the Indonesian people that is not easily forgotten.
